Francis Hendy

Creating fashions comes naturally to this Trinidadian-born designer. Francis Hendy's mother, who was a seamstress, taught him how to sew, and he began creating his own clothes when he couldn't find pants to fit his soccer-built legs. Hendy has been operating from New York's Fashion District for the last five years. He won the Michael Award for Best New Menswear Designer for 2000.
