Puerto Rican designer Miguel Peña launched in 2005 with a fall collection, Morae. The collection made it into the windows at Bloomingdale’s and got rave reviews from buyers and editors alike—but a split from founding partners Dan Otero and Frank Skoch cast a cloud. A happily solo Peña launched his debut runway collection in Spring 2006 Fashion Week in New York.
