Profile
An art historian with an eye for interior décor, owner Anne Ljundberg showcases home accessories by twentieth-century masters like Josef Frank and ceramicist Stig Lindberg, as well as contemporary pieces by Swedish “it” designer Anna Kraitz and lighting maverick Anna Holmquist. Gustavian dining tables, mod plastic lampshades, and Royal Copenhagen bone china are better looking (and better quality) than anything available at Design Within Reach. Tabletop accessories are imminently giftable, especially that Arne Jacobson 1960 reproduction teapot and those concrete candlesticks by Tove Adman. Just Scandinavian is the exclusive Stateside vendor for many items not available outside their country of origin. “I wanted to bring the real thing here,” she says. “Great designs of good quality that are easy and practical at the same time.” Take that, Ikea.
