It doesn’t yet have the variety or cachet of a Moss or Future Perfect, but this year-old shop specializing in international design could be a future competitor. Owner Cheri Caso, a former architect, sells the work of thirteen designers who are veritable rock stars in their home countries if not here: Istanbul’s Autoban Design, Jonas Lindvall of Sweden, and furniture by David Trubridge (the Jasper Morrison of New Zealand). Look for Norwegian designer Hans Brattrud’s iconic Scandia chair series, in production again after a 30-year hiatus. There’s also a rotating, design-themed art exhibit.
