Jeff Hock opened this tiny shop to fulfill New York license requirements for his fledgling Website that sells and ships wines citywide. The stock online and in store is exactly the same: 100 bottles or less with at least 50 for under $20. The bare-bones space reflects the store's secondary nature, but the unfussy design never undercuts the scrupulously narrowed cache. While Hock spans the globe for a boutique selection of organic, screw-cap (sensible for young vintages), and gift-worthy, ready-to-drink purchases, bottles can be delivered statewide only. — Alexandra Vallis
