Juan Anon
Organic minimalism, balance, quality, proportion, clean lines and expert cuts—these are the concepts behind Wendy Juan's creations. The designer's architectural style can be seen in the details of her work, but neither Wendy nor her clothes are ones to steal the spotlight: The Juan in "Juan Anon," may come from Wendy's last name, but the Anon stands for "anonymous" and represents Wendy's behind-the-scenes approach to fashion. However, when Juan Anon launched in Spring/Summer 2001, the label received glowing recognition, and Fashion Group International nominated Wendy Juan for the 2001 Rising Star of Menswear Designer Award, so maintaining that anonymous status is sure to become increasingly challenging.
