Westville pastry chef Ivy Tack bakes the kind of pies you see in old movies and cartoons, the ones that are always placed near an open window to cool, whereupon their wafting aromas prove irresistible to sneak thieves, hoboes, and Jethro Bodine types. This being the West Village, Tack’s toothsome, all-butter-crusted wild blueberry tempts a tonier—though equally dressed-down—crowd. (Yep, that was Leo, in socks and sandals, ordering a piece to go before biking off with Gisele.) With summer and blueberry season on the wane, look for apple and pear-cranberry pies this fall. Just don’t leave them on the windowsill. 210 West 10th Street (212-741-7971).
