This smokey (well, at least for now) Astoria hideaway is where Queens-based hipsters come to pretend they actually live near Smith Street. Tupelo offers the best selection of brews in a neighborhood where beer choices don't usually extend past Michelob. And the music, whether from the upstairs DJ spinning eighties tracks or the host of local bands, is a guaranteed good time. Fill up on Greek food at one of the restaurants nearby and make a night of it.
