Profile

This venue is closed.

According to one of its proprietors, this low profile bar and pool joint is a good old-fashioned "house of happy drunks": Patrons get sloppy but never testy. Perhaps that's due to the soothing blue hues of the walls and doors. Or perhaps it’s the jukebox with a little something for everyone (entries range from Jonathan Richman to Outkast). In any case, Mickey’s takes pride in its drinkers—especially drinkers of tequila, scotch and bourbon, represented in many varieties. Live bands play in the back room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Extra

Blue is not the only important hue in this bar. Mickey’s black-felt pool table boasts “the city’s only chartreuse ball.”
