Big things come in small packages, at least at Lunettes et Chocolat, a tiny jewel box that's both a hub for fashionable eyewear (prescription and otherwise) and confections, gifts, and unusual accessories. Owned by Selima Optique founder Selima Salaun and caterer Maribel Lieberman, the store's glasses are world-class; find Selima's classic and whimsical styles, plus frames from Paul Smith, Michael Kors, and Aristotle. Addressing another of the senses, visitors can sample scrumptious chocolate from Marie Belle or spicy, rich Mexican hot cocoa in the Cacao Bar cafe, and browse the store's stock of charming eyeglass cases, T-shirts, knit scarves and idiosyncratic notions from local New York artists, including painted hats by Luan Palermo. With Moroccan music and a quirky, friendly staff, the store is a must-visit for sweet-tooths and four-eyes alike.
