Didier Virot gave up the prestige of an executive-chef post at Jean Georges to open the ill-fated Virot at the Dylan Hotel. Now he's followed in the pioneering Noza (north of Zabar's) footsteps of Tom Valenti, bringing sophisticated French fare four blocks north of Valenti's Ouest. Make those reservations early, it worth it. The food is interesting, our waiter was great, the sommelier recommended a reasonably priced wine, the upstairs room is lovely. So what's wrong? The manager at the reservations desk was rude and obnoxious...Read More
