The Queen Mary 2’s next berth could be in Brooklyn if Pier 7, at the end of Atlantic, or Pier 12, south in Red Hook, is remodeled to accept sunburned Carnival cruise passengers instead of shipping containers. Advocates see the ships as catalysts for retail near the waterfront.
