The minimalists at the BlueLounge design studio in Pasadena are obviously neat freaks—and we love them for it. Their clever new SpaceStation laptop dock is a way to de-clutter your desk by organizing all the cables feeding in and out of your Mac or PC. Hidden inside the long, sturdy platform are a powered four-port USB hub and a whole series of integrated coiling pins so you can tuck away the cords for everything from a backup hard drive to your assorted USB-powered gadgets. The top of the SpaceStation is a slightly tilted rubberized pad that elevates the back of your laptop to improve typing ergonomics and create a cooling airspace to keep your hard drive from baking. The nonskid surface is also a convenient resting spot for your iPod, iPhone, or BlackBerry, and there’s even a sheet-holding slot where you can stick, say, a to-do list—or anything else you don’t want to forget to look at.
