Cuff Links Directory

Camilla Dietz Bergeron

818 Madison Ave., nr. 68th St.; 212-794-9100

Pieces don’t stick around for long at this mecca for antique, period, and estate jewelry, but if luck is on your side you’ll find a plethora of one-of-a-kind links. It’s not unusual for clients to spend $2,100 on a pair of fluted onyx-and-diamond links.

Deco Jewels

131 Thompson St., nr. Prince St.; 212-253-1222

If the groom can’t find what he wants among the vintage cuff links at this shop, owner Janice Berkson will conduct a global search to make him happy. Designs include roulette wheels, dart boards, guitars, and cowboys, as well as classic mother-of-pearl links. From $50 to $400 a pair.

D/L Cerney

13 E. 7th St., nr. Third Ave.; 212-673-7033

East Village locals stop in to check out the reasonably priced vintage and costume jewelry at Duane Cerney and Linda St. John’s welcoming shop. There are plenty of examples of the snap-style links from the forties, alongside the more ornate tiger’s eye and oversize jade versions. Prices range from $48 to $88 a pair.

Garrard

133 Spring St., nr. Greene St., third fl.; 212-688-2209; garrard.com

Visit the New York home (conceived by Jade Jagger, creative director) of the official crown jeweler of London, which offers a dazzling selection of eighteen-karat white- and yellow-gold cuff links (from $1,500). The white-gold-and-pavé-diamond crown-shaped cuff links are fit for a (modern-day) prince ($3,300).

Links of London

535 Madison Ave., nr. 54th St. (various locations); 212-588-1177; linksoflondon.com

Even the most avid collector will find some surprises in this British import packed with offbeat links. We like the more-classic styles: sterling-silver T-bar links ($120–$150) and eighteen-karat-gold ones ($495).

The Missing Link

40 W. 25th St., nr. Sixth Ave., No. 108; 212-645-6928; missinglinknyc.com

Want to sport English enamel-and-sterling links just like your grandfather did? Your best hope is the Missing Link, a labor of love by owner Michael Rodriguez, who offers more than 5,000 styles, from antique typewriter-key links ($125) to twenties diamond-and-platinum ones ($450–$2,500).
