  • Creatability

    500 East 88th Street, 212-535-4033

If you’re all thumbs when it comes to cutting and pasting, check out Creatability, an arts-and-crafts wonderland that will engross your kids for hours. Youngsters come home with handmade jewelry, mirror frames, flower pots, light-switch plates, and, of course, fake fireworks centerpieces for the Fourth of July. This Upper East Side play space hosts drop-in workshops from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (and occasional weekends), offering all kinds of do-it-yourself projects. Hourlong after-school workshops are age-specific (up to 12) and run for eight weeks. Daily drop-ins are $20; workshops are $220 for eight weeks.
