A local chain with dozens of locations, P.C. Richard & Son’s
two Manhattan superstores are mobbed with bargain-hunting
families on weekends hauling out everything from air conditioners
to space heaters. Though you might think of the chain for
its huge selection of appliances (washers, dryers, microwaves),
the stores have a very decent array of extremely reasonably
priced consumer electronics items, including laptops (starting
at around $1,200) and flat-screen TVs (starting at around
$500).
