Chopard

Chopard’s signature bands are heart-shaped and embellished with diamond, ruby, or sapphire accents (from $3,000). The striking Ice Cube is a diamond-grid ring without any visible metal (from $3,275).

The Clay Pot

This Brooklyn favorite carries contemporary designs from more than 100 American craftspeople. They also offer “conflict-free” Canadian stones suitable for engagement rings ($1,000 to $8,000).

David Levy Diamonds & Fine Jewels

This third-generation jeweler is known for his handmade rings, his use of eight-sided Asscher-cut diamonds, and an eye for perfectly-matched side baguettes that look like sparkly clones. Everything in his general collection is simple and classic, but he’ll custom-design something more trendy or offbeat.

David Webb

Webb’s jewelry collection begins with his one-of-a-kind animal-inspired clips, and features an eclectic collection of precious stones, diamonds, and crystals. Prices for customized engagement rings are available upon request, but general jewelry starts at $1,200.

David Yurman

David Yurman recently added a bridal collection to his line, including wedding bands for men and women (he also offers great cuff links for grooms). Many styles feature antique cushion-cut diamonds. Bands start at $550; engagement rings start at $10,000.

De Beers

De Beers is known for its collection of iconic diamond jewels. Its recently-introduced signature engagement ring, Forever (from $2,000), is available in a range of carat weights. Prices for other wedding, engagement, and eternity rings are available upon request.

The Diamond Co.

This third-generation jeweler sells to the trade as well as to the public, and stocks all the classic bridal styles in every size, shape, and price range, from as little as $500 to as much as $150,000.

Di Modolo

Dino Modolo’s newly-launched Haute Couture Bridal Collection features engagement rings that make a statement, with diamonds (one carat and up) set in platinum—eighteen-karat white or yellow gold is available upon request (from $15,000). Wedding bands come in a variety of styles (from $2,500).

Dior Fine Jewelry

Instead of taking the traditional route, some couples choose to wear Dior’s chunky, graphic designs as engagement rings and wedding bands. Favorites include an eighteen-karat-gold band with a dangling diamond (from $2,190) and a white gold band with pavé-diamond lily-of-the-valley charms ($6,100).

Doyle & Doyle

An excellent source for estate and antique jewelry, this store has unique bridal pieces at lower-than-expected prices. Current standouts: a nine-tenths-carat-diamond and emerald ring ($6,600).

DVVS

This friendly Chelsea shop sells arty and unusually cool bridal jewelry. Couples should check out Alex Sepkus’s textured designs in gold and platinum, and George Sawyer’s Japanese mokume gane (metal that is layered, to give a wood-grain look) bands. Prices range from $1,000 to $2,000.
