From her Brooklyn-based studio, former Frédéric Fekkai designer Jennifer Behr has been fashioning silk and leather hair accessories for Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Henri Bendel for several years. Her new bridal collection incorporates feathers and hand-pressed silk flowers ($128-$1,450), and fashions custom pieces from couture feathers and pearls, vintage lace, and metallic ribbons for the downtown artsy crowd (from $250).

The extensive veil section at this soup-to-nuts bridal salon offers 300 different kinds of veils and more than 350 headpieces, including tiaras, combs, and flowers. Veil prices start at a very reasonable $65 but can soar up to $3,000, depending on beadwork, style, and material. Headpieces are $80-$1,000.
